As per some sources, there are reports that Sony is developing its own smartphone processors for its new Xperia smartphones.
Further, reports said tat Sony plans to design and develop its own processor with Taiwanese firm Global Unichip.
It said that Sony plans to go for its own processor after Samsung, Apple ad Huawei have started using their own hardware products which helped them for better earnings and good market share.
Earlier, Sony has used Qualcomm processors in its smartphones, but now it also started using MediaTek chips for some of its low-range smartphones.

In addition to this, Digitimes states that LG also plans to develop its own chips in collaboration with Global Unichip.
